about

***NOTE: This is NOT metal! I just could not figure out how to untag the “metal” from it...so to my metal followers I am sorry for any disappointment!*** I wrote this song while driving in the rain here in Southern California (rare!). I was picturing the sun even though it wasn’t out. I thought about how the rain was a reflection of how it felt in my heart even though most of the time it is sunny here.

lyrics

I live in sunny California
But my heart it don’t match the weather
They tellin’ me that life gets better
But to them I don’t really matter

I cannot decide
While living out my life
If I’m gonna make it out alright
No one at my side
No one to believe in me

Sunny in the sky, rainy in my heart
Life flashes in my eyes and it’s tearin’ me apart
Thinking of regrets and losing all my bets
Sunny in the sky, rainy in my eyes
Exposing all the feelings that I tried so hard to hide
Wash away the chances that I blew so many times
Just pretend I’m alright
And let the sun shine

Been away from where I was from
Now I hear from almost no one
At least the blue sky gives me something
Maybe false hope, maybe nothing

I used to have friends
Used to have nights
When we used to party and feel alright
Now I’m so blue like California skies

I ran away from pain
People done me wrong
I ran away from rain
And now I’m writing sad songs
It is OK, I face my consequences
Reality hurts, let the sun soothe my senses`
